Shame

Shame is a non starter once you are convinced that what you have been through has been worth it and you know that you have right throughout.

It could indeed be  just an emotion which perches on top of humaneness and is always measured in terms of contexts and related events.

In the long run,..it does matter if you are crestfallen by a sense of guilt rather than feel shame.
